Qualification: (i) Good Academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E and F at the Master’s Degree level in Political Science from any recognized university in India or an equivalent degree from a foreign university. (ii) Should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professor conducted by the university Grants Commissions for Council for Scientific and Industrial Research or similar test accredited by the University Grants Commission.

Desirable: (i) Proficiency in games or cultural activities, (ii) Experience of Military Training/ National Cadet Corps or scouting, (iii) Proficiency in English Medium of teaching in Political science.
