National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI), Lucknow, a premier plant science research institute under Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), is looking for professionals having brilliant academic record and zeal for innovative research. Applications are invited in the prescribed form from Indian Nationals for the following positions to undertake basic and applied research in respective disciplines/areas:

1-Post Name : Principal Scientist
•Qualifications  : – Ph.D. in Plant Physiology/Plant Biochemistry/Botany/ Plant Science with 03 years res earch experience in plant metabolism and plant Physiology as evidenced by high quality research publications.
•Desirable : Specialization and experience in the modern techniques of Plant Physiology/Biochemistry/Plant Metabolism and independently handling R&D programmmes in the areas of Plant Physiology and Biochemistry. Experience in comparative biochemistry of primary plant metabolism, carbon fixation, drought biology, oil metabolism and plant development.
•Pay Scale  : Pay Band -4 ( Rs. 37400-67000) + Grade Pay Rs. 8700/- ( T.E. = approx Rs. 86, 443/- p.m.)
•No of Post : 01
•Age Limit  : 45years

2-Post Name  : Senior Scientist
•Qualifications  : – Ph.D. in Genetics & Plant Breeding/Botany/Plant Science in the area of genetics with 02 years research experience in relevant subject as evidenced by high quality research publications.
•Desirable : Specialization in genetic improvement of plants using latest techniques of molecular breeding/cytogenetics/modern research methodologies for crop improvement and of important plant species including floriculture plants.
•Pay Scale  : Rs. 15600-39100/-PM
•No of Post : 01
•Age Limit : 37years

3-Post Name  : Plant Taxonomy
•Qualifications  : -  Ph.D.( submitted/awarded) in Botany/Plant Science/Biotechnology.
•Desirable : Specialization in taxonomy, reproductive biology, physiology, growth and structural biology of lower group of plants.
•No of Post : 01
•Age Limit : 37years
