Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (JNKV), Applications are invited for filling up the vacancies:-

1. Name of the post: PRINCIPAL SCIENTIST(Agronomy /Agril. Economics & Farm Management / Post Harvest Management.)
•Pay Scale: Rs.16400 – 450- 22400/-
•Qualification: Doctoral degree in the relevant subject or related field including relevant basic sciences;
•Experience : 10 years experience in Research/Teaching /Extension Education; provided 3 years experience is as a Senior Scientist (Rs. 12000-18300) or in an equivalent position

2.  Name of the post: SENIOR SCIENTIST (Agronomy, Horticulture, Soil Science & Agril. Chemistry, Plant Breeding & Genetics, Agricultural Economics & F.M., Post Harvest Process and Food Engineering,Plant Pathology, )
•Pay Scale: Rs.12000 – 420 – 18300/-
•Qualification: For disciplines other than Engineering subject Doctoral degree in relevant subject including relevant basic sciences with 4 years experience in the relevant subject as scientist / lecturer / extension specialist or an equivalent position in the pay scale of Rs. 8000- 13500 having made contribution to research / teaching / extension education as evidenced by published work / innovations.

Age Limit:  The upper age limit for the applicants for appointments shall be 45 years at the entry posts. The Vice-chancellor can relax the same in special circumstances.

Application Fee: Applications along with D.D. of Rs. 400/- (Rs. 150/- for SC/ST candidates) in favour of JNKVV payable at Jabalpur should reach the Registrar latest by 30.08.2011.
