RECRUITMENT FOR THE POST OF REGISTRAR
(On Deputation / Contract)

National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, an Institution of National Importance under NIT Act 2007 imparting excellent Education at Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral level for decades invites applications from Indian Nationals for the position of Registrar on contract or deputation basis, the details for which are given below.

Post Name  : Registrar
Qualifications  : – A Post-Graduate degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale along with at least 15 years’ experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs 7000 and above or with 8 years of service in the AGP of Rs.8000 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration.
Desirable  : Experience in Personnel/Finance/Materials Management, Industrial relations, Campus Management and other aspects of administration, preferably in a large educational or R&D institution, a degree/PG Diploma in Law/Management and the ability to enhance and sustain computerized administration with innovation. An engineering degree in Mechanical, Civil or Architecture would also be desirable. Proven qualities and all round ability to coordinate and lead team of officers with a variety of expertise.
Pay Scale :  PB-4 (Rs.37400-67000/-) with GP of Rs.10,000/-
Age Limit :  The upper age limit is 52 years (Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India rules) The appointment will be on a contract or deputation of 5 years (renewable for another tenure) or till the age of 62 years whichever is earlier.
