A combined competitive examination for recruitment to Grade IV of the Services will be held by the Union Public Service Commission commencing from 3rd December, 2011 by the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation in the Gazette of India.
Age Limit: 21 to 30 years on 1.1.2011
Qualifications: A candidate for the Indian Economic Service (IES) must have obtained a Post-Graduate degree in Economics/ Applied Economis/ Business Economics/ Econometrics and candidate for the Indian Statistical Service (ISS) must have obtained a Post-Graduate degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics / Applied Statistics from a recognised University.
Application Fee: Rs.100
Examination Centres: Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Allahabad, Jammu, Bangalore, Kolkata, Bhopal, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Chennai, Patna, Cuttack, Shillong, Delhi, Shimla, Dispur, Thiruvananthapuram, Hyderabad
Interested candidates required to apply online through UPSC Online website: www.upsconline.nic.in between 30.7.2011 to 29.8.2011 till 11:59.
Candidates who are from remote areas can send their applications through Offline mode to the following address by Post/Speed Post only within 5.9.2011.
